This year, as we celebrate our 150th anniversary, we wanted to mark this significant milestone by giving back to the communities that have supported us for generations. As a proud Scottish family business in the wholesale sector, supplying essential goods to convenience shops across Scotland, we understand the vital role we play in local communities.

How did we select our Charities?
To ensure our efforts had the greatest impact, we asked our dedicated staff to nominate six Scottish charities close to their hearts. The response was overwhelming, and we are honoured to announce our support for:
Children’s Hospices Across Scotland
CHAS is all about bringing joy and creating precious memories for families facing the unimaginable. They provide unwavering care for children with life-shortening illnesses, through their two hospices, at-home nursing, and hospital-based support. Their ethos is simple: keep the joy alive. It’s about celebrating every moment and creating lasting memories that families will cherish forever.
Scottish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
The Scottish SPCA dedicated rescue officers are on the front lines, providing vital veterinary care and pet food support to communities. They’re working hard to prevent animal neglect and cruelty, and they’re focused on making a positive impact right now. They’re also passionate about educating the public, helping people understand how to best support wildlife. It’s about building a kinder, more informed Scotland for animals.
Cancer Research UK
Imagine a place where brilliant minds from around the globe come together, driven by a single goal: to conquer cancer. That’s the CRUK Scotland Institute. It’s simply where the world’s best cancer research happens! Here, they’re digging deep, exploring the very core of cancer, and they’re paving the way for groundbreaking treatments, aiming to cut off cancer’s fuel supply and bring hope to countless lives.
Motor Neurone Disease Scotland
MND is a devastating disease, but amidst the challenges, there’s incredible support and hope. MND Scotland are dedicated to making life easier for those affected. They provide everything from essential equipment for homes to compassionate counselling, guiding families from diagnosis through to bereavement. Their vision is a future free from MND.
GroceryAid
Think of Grocery Aid as a helping hand for everyone who makes our grocery industry tick. They’re there for anyone in the supply chain, offering support that really matters – whether it’s financial, emotional, or practical. Money worries can take a huge toll on mental health, and that can make it hard to work. It’s a tough cycle, and Grocery Aid is there to break it, offering a lifeline of support when it’s needed most.
Dementia Scotland
At Dementia Scotland, they are all about helping individuals and families understand what’s going on. They team up with healthcare pros and people who’ve lived it, so they can give the right info, right when people need it. Basically, they want to make sure people and families feel empowered and supported as they navigate this journey.
